Chutney House: Bow, New Hampshire

Here in New Hampshire, when you lock a self unemployed architect in the kitchen with fruit, apple cider vinegar, cane sugar, and spices you might get the birth of a New England Chutney. In this case, this is just what happened. Chutney House proprietor Tom Campbell Wilson prepares each batch of his chutney personally and in small stove top quantities.

Tom grew up in Concord New Hampshire and attended the University of New Hampshire, After graduation he married his high school sweet heart Cecile Jenkins.

Together they moved to Charlottsville, Virginia where Tom obtained his Master of Architecture degree at UVa.They then retured to Concord where Tom joined his fathers architectural practice and in 1979 they formed the firm of Wilson & Wilson Architects. Tom and Cecile have two beautiful girls and three wonderful grandaughters.

Looking back on his love of the chutney his mother made, Tom decided it was time to recreate this chutney. With taste testing and approval of his sisters Wendy and Kim and his Mom, Tom has achieved this and is now sharing his chutneys with others.

Shortly after launching our line of Chutney we began making our hand made Marmalades.

Due to the special requests we have also developed a line of Hot Pepper Jellys for your enjoyment.

We are also the makers of "The Great American Hermit," a New England Tradition. Made in our "Tall Ship Kitchen."

We also design and print our own labels, Some of our past and current labels can be found at this link.
